Metaversum GmbH is launching a cooperation with browser games specialists Bigpoint. The first virtual Bigpoint presence will be opening in the online world Twinity on 2 February 2009, with plenty on offer for all Twinity members.

The 3D online world Twinity will be cooperating with zitty, the popular listings guide for the German capital. The cooperation will kick off with a new event series, the monthly zitty Readers Lounge, which will be broadcast live in virtual Berlin so Twinity members can take an active part in the live literary debate. The first author to be reading excerpts from her book will be Mia Ming.

Metaversum, developer and operator of the 3D online world Twinity, has been awarded funding from the mutli-agency IDM R&D Programme Office hosted by the Media Development Authority of Singapore to develop geo-tagging and geo-located media streaming in Twinity. In another part of this project Metaversum will also development advanced virtual city building tools to facilitate the construction of virtual Singapore in Twinity. Metaversum has already begun signing up local media, content, and brand partners in preparation for next year’s launch of virtual Singapore in Twinity.

From 16 October, 3D online world www.twinity.com will be celebrating the forthcoming release of the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. To mark this event, CineStar’s CUBIX cinema and the Sony Center in virtual Berlin have been magically transformed into Quantum of Solace flagships. Movie fans can watch movie trailers and interviews, play Quantum of Solace flash games, take part in competitions, and find out everything they always wanted to know about this new release.
